Our new home

So after a month of looking we got approved for an apartment in Zürich. We applied for a few and saw so many that Dave couldn't remember one from another, so when the lanlord called and said we had been accepted, David had to call me to see if it was one of the ones we wanted. Of couse we only applied to apartments we wanted so I called the lanlord back and assured him we did want the place.

We are very excited about this apartment . It has three bedrooms, a nice sized kitchen, 1 1/2 baths, living and dining rooms and a TON of storage. It also has the oh so important dryer!! We will be about 25 minutes from Cameron's school and less than that to Dave's work. We've got a pool nearby, several grocery stores, playgrounds and everything else we need. We no longer live next to an Ikea and the largest mall in Switzerland will have to be replaced by a slightly smaller mall 20 minutes away. It isn't a bad tradeoff.

Now a balcony was never one of our needs, and we certainly were not picky about the balcony. So when we looked at the apartment we didn't pay much attention to the view. Turns out we missed the fact that it has a nice view in our excitement over the price and location. Our apartment has a view of Uetliberg, the highest point in Zürich, and the mountian we frequent for sledding. It's absolutely beautiful.

As you can see, the view is lovely and we've already begun decorating Cameron's room. We move on Wednesday and we are really looking forward to it.
